How to style zinc planters

As you probably know by now I am a huge fan of flowers. Styling with flowers is one of my favourite interiors projects.

I was absolutely delighted to be sent a selection of zinc planters for The Orchard and challenged to style them for the home and garden,

I love using zinc in the home, I like it’s industrial look and it’s simplify. It sets off flowers and plants rather than outshining or out-colouring them and it is a minimalistic and  pleasing  It is alos durable, hard wearing and versatile..

The first zinc flower pot  I used was this one  in XL size costing just £9

I knew immediately what flowers I wanted to display in it. I whisked down to my local florist with my hopes high and they did indeed have the flowers I wanted. Just the one bunch left though!

Hyacinths and daisies make such a  pretty display and I think the flower pot sets them off beautifully.

What do you think?

I was also sent 2 Zinc wall planters to style (£25)

Designed with garden display in mind, here at The Orchard we think this duo would work equally well as unique kitchen storage aids or, perhaps as cloakroom tidies.

These really could be used for so many things couldn’t they and I love The Orchard’s idea. However plants as always won my heart, I style one with an aubretia plant and hung it on my kitchen wall and the other was filled with a mini cyclamen and  works to jazz up my (badly in need of painting) shed.

I think they look delightful,  they are so versatile and they simply hang on an nail. A lovely addition to the home.

Now all I really need is one of these oak orangeries to display my planters in. Wouldn’t that be perfect!

There are so many ways you could use those wall planters isn’t there. They would be great if you had a porch and wanted to store outside items in them.
