I love my sofa! It is a fabric sofa with soft cushions and I have a fleecy and lambs wool throw over it for extra cosiness! I just love settling down to watch tv, have a glass of wine, use my laptop, etc whilst sitting on it!

My favourite piece of furniture is a gorgeous old 1920’s plain and simple chest of drawers. It’s big and solid, with rounded corners and perfect round knobs and loved deep chestnut colour (I would need to punch anyone in the nose who might suggest that it should be upcycled with a lick of Annie Sloan…).
We picked it up in a secondhand furniture shop, and I just love it ridiculously…

My Laura Ashley Bramley sideboard. The website picture really doesn’t do it justice – it’s distressed but the finish of it is incredible – so smooth and incredibly well made. It’s filled with all my books, DVDs and photo albums at the moment – plenty of space for them all.

My bed. A big black leather kingsize bed.. it’s the most expensive bit of furniture I own.. but it’s so comfortable with it’s memory foam mattress. I was always told to invest in a good bed and good shoes, cos if you’re not in one you’re in the other.

My favourite piece of furniture is my large wooden freestanding pigeon hole bookshelf. My mum rescued it from a skip at my primary school and kept it for 15 years before giving it to me as a moving out present. It used to be in my reception classroom and is now with me every step of my adult life. After a bit of sanding and wood treatment it looks as good as new, holding my every growing recipe book collection. The bookshelf is a bit like the rocking chair with form and function going hand in hand. If I win this chair I would love to sit it next to my bookshelf where I can immerse myself in books and rocking away the hours.

My favourite piece is my sofa, which is part of a 3-piece suite – the two best bits is that I saw the sofa in a local Heart Foundation furniture shop marked up at £50, only after enquiring about it discovered there were two chairs but best of all the sofa is actually a metal action sofa bed. Even after paying a delivery charge I have had an excellent bargain and supported a charity, I’ve had it at least three years and it still has a lot of life left in it 🙂

I love my desk, it’s covered in stickers that I’ve collected from various events and festivals I’ve worked at so it’s a proper trip down memory lane!
