HomeSense hang a bauble campaign
Not long now!
I did my first bit of shopping for Christmas this morning and headed over to Homesense, one of my favourite stores.
Ah I do love HomeSense at Christmas. it is full of ideas for inexpensive and exciting gifts and an array of lovely Christmas decorations.
I always pick up some lovely books and bits for the tree, it has become a tradition.
The thing I love MOST about HomeSense at Christmas though is their fabulous Hang a Bauble campaign.
Have you heard of this?
Basically you hand over a pound at the till and your receive a lovely paper bauble on which to write a message. You then hang it on the tree in store. The monies all go the charity HomeSense is championing that year. It makes a lovely display and I do love to read the messages.
What a lovely way of passing on Christmas cheer.
This year the chosen charity is The Prince’s Trust Achieve Programme who support vulnerable young people achieve in our local communities. What a great cause.
The paper baubles are not the only ways to help either.
Purchasing these items also goes towards giving back at Christmas to something really worthwhile.
Glass bauble £3.99, donation £1.70
Charitable cards £3.99, donation £1.50
Chocolate coins and lollipops £1.49, donation £0.50
Bag for life £0.99, donation £0.25
What a lovely idea.
Want to see my paper bauble?
I’m goign to take my kids back to see the tree as it is full of lovely messages and I’d love them to write their own too.
Such a good idea at a time when we indulge so much ourselves to spare a thought for others. Great job HomeSense!
