I often look around my messy cluttered home where we work play eat, craft, socialise and live and wonder why it doesn’t look like the homes I see on other home and lifestyle blogs?
Do I lack in organisation/storage/cleaning skills. Do we have too much or is our home too small for us? I could probably tick yes to all the above actually. I know there are lovely things about my home and I am planning to get organised next year but in the meantime I need to look differently. See the beauty there is around me and not just see the mess.
With this in mind I ventured into our winter neglected garden. It was full of not bought in plastic dinosaurs, cracked pots and a few dying plants. But I decided not to see them and to look for beauty instead.
See what I found dancing against the garden wall in a slight breeze of a cold, cold day. True beauty. Simple and complicated, entirely natural.
Why not try seeing the lovely more this year.

I tried a Clarins makeover recently – does it make me look more lovely? Let me know what you think? You might also like my posts on 5 ways to keep your spouse happy and how to plan a budget friendly date night
Beautiful shot, love the shadows on the fence 🙂
I could have written this myself, I have two happy healthy children and I just try to see that for what it is rather than time spent with me tidying and cleaning. My garden is full of dinosaurs, i’ll try to see them as memories instead. Great picture x #bwphotoproject
That’s a pretty shot, love the shadow on the right too #bwphotoproject
I have neglected my potted plants and from where I sit I can see some of them dead but I promise to make them alive again this spring!
This is a beautiful photo. Life outside the garden =) #BWPhotoProject
Beauty is in the ye of the beholder – I think we are all guilty of seeing that bad instead of the good and beauty we have around us.
Wonderful photo, it’s always refreshing to look round the garden and find something to photograph. Raindrops and dew especially get me every time! Thank you so much for sharing and linking up #bwphotoproject
Beautiful, without the colour it could be a summer photo, Lovely
Lovely post – we all could do with doing this xxx
