I have always loved words and their power to move and motivate always manage to astound me. Just a few little words and your whole mindset can be altered. Words as art is a fairly recent development in interiors but one that is increasing. Typographic prints are often inexpensive and look both beautiful and have a deeper purpose; they can help inspire us.
I have a cute little banner in my house from Southwood Stores that says Be Kind which I keep at the top of the stairs to keep my whole family focussed on just that!
I have been checking out the Not On The High Street sale and have found some lovely motivational typographic art a great prices that I just had to show you….. I think the penguin book cover is my favourite, but I would rather like them all.
Perfect, inexpensive art to improve your mood!

What a great selection. Being a lifelong bookworm I love those Penguin covers but I need the second one above my desk 🙂

Hi Becky
Great article.
I love these and taking these ideas and making them personal for the loved ones would be lovely too.
I’ve had friends do some ‘Jane loves’ type framed typographic gifts and I’ve done a few as well…But the possibilities are endless.
That ‘bloom and grow together’ from the Sound of Music, got me thinking…You could choose some fabulous quotes from film and TV…But why is it that when I try and think of quote’s from films the first one that pops into my head is ‘I carried a water melon!’ (Dirty Dancing)…Perhaps not inspirational enough…Back to the drawing board.
