So what is new on the horizon of interior design trends 2016?

One of the big design trends for 2016 is sustainable living and rightly so, so get your LEDs in everyone – we need to preserve our precious earth! With this is mind I have been looking at…

This lovely bowl is handmade from rolled bamboo, a naturally sustainable material. A sustainable material or is something whose production is supported indefinitely by nature, which means itis used up at the same speed that it is renewed. I just LOVE the colour.
Mixed metals
Dulux’s colour of the year for 2016 is Cherished gold and and metal hues continue to be everywhere. Brass, copper, gold and luxe metallic finishes look shiny and rich together and continue to be on trend (particularly when set against increasingly popular dark walls.) This floor lamp is just perfect
Houseplants
There was huge love for succulents in 2015 and the new found adoration of houseplants is set to continue throughout 2016. Plants inject life and colour and make a homes feel well cared for. They are also a low cost addition that breathes new life into your interiors.
Strong Shapes
Strong shapes and geometric designs are a key look in 2016.
So in conclusion strong shapes, metals, plants and sustainable living will feature strongly in 2016 as will blues, greens, dark walls and natural materials. Just by searching categories or the trends I was interested in over at Lions Home I found a whole wealth of beautiful products. Such a simple way to find what you are looking for.
